Manufacturer figures for the Renault Trafic III Van (facelift), normal load, tyres cold. If the label on your door pillar or fuel flap says something different, go with that.
Resetting the tyre pressure warning light on your Renault
It varies by model and version. Many recent Renaults (Clio IV phase 2 and Clio V, Captur II and others) use an indirect tyre pressure loss warning; many from the 2000s and 2010s, and some current ones, have sensors in the valves. Both are reset from the dashboard.
- Set all four tyres to the door-edge label pressures, cold.
- Switch the ignition on, stopped.
- Using the steering-wheel switch, go to the Vehicle tab on the dashboard display and find the tyre pressure reset ('Reset tyre pressure press and hold' or 'Tyre pressure init. long press').
- Press and hold OK until 'Operation completed' appears. On cars with a touchscreen it's under Vehicle > Tyre pressure > Reset.
Cars with sensors
- On the Vehicle tab, open the Tyre Pressure page and hold the switch for about 3 seconds until 'Learning Tyre Pressures' shows, then drive for a few minutes.
When to reset: Reset after re-inflating, changing pressures, changing or swapping wheels, or using the spare or repair kit.
Menu names vary by model and year, so check your handbook if yours looks different. More in what the warning light means.

Put your reg in and we'll show the figures for your exact car, including the wheel size it left the factory on.
What tyre pressure should a Trafic III Van have?
45 psi at the front and 49 psi at the rear (3.1 and 3.4 bar) on the standard 16-inch wheels, with the tyres cold. Larger optional wheels use slightly different figures — see the table above.
Should I use a higher pressure when the car is loaded?
The manufacturer gives one figure for this car, so no. If you're carrying a full load for a long motorway run, the label on the door pillar may show a higher figure — follow that if it does.
What tyre size does the Trafic III Van use?
215/65R16, 215/60R17 or 235/55R17, depending on the wheels it was ordered with. The size is on the tyre's sidewall, e.g. 235/40R18.
Check them cold. Pressures are set for tyres that haven't been driven more than a mile or two. After a run they read 3–4 psi high.
Once a month, and before a long trip. Tyres lose about 1 psi a month on their own.
The sticker wins. If your car's door-pillar or fuel-flap label says something different, go with that — it knows your exact spec.
