Resetting the tyre pressure warning light on your Vauxhall
It depends on the age. Most Vauxhalls from about 2009 to 2019 (Astra J and K, Insignia, Zafira, Mokka) have sensors in the wheels and show the live pressure of each tyre. Newer ones built with Peugeot parts (Corsa from 2019, Mokka from 2021, Astra from 2022, Crossland, Grandland) use an indirect deflation detection system that needs a reset.
- Newer models: set all four tyres to the correct cold pressure and apply the parking brake.
- Reset the tyre deflation detection through the Info Display settings, or by pressing the tyre-symbol button on cars that have one.
- Wait for the pop-up confirming the reset, then drive. It recalibrates over a longer drive.
Cars with sensors in the wheels (about 2009–2019)
- There's no reset to do. Set the correct cold pressures and drive; the warning clears once the sensors read the right pressure.
- You can check each tyre in the Vehicle Information menu.
- After changing or swapping wheels, leave the car parked for about 20 minutes, then drive. Relearning takes up to 10 minutes above 12 mph.
When to reset: Newer (indirect) models: reset after every pressure or wheel change. Sensor models: no reset needed.
Menu names vary by model and year, so check your handbook if yours looks different. More in what the warning light means.

Put your reg in and we'll show the figures for your exact car, including the wheel size it left the factory on.
What tyre pressure should a Astra 5 Stud 55-92 kW have?
32 psi at the front and 28 psi at the rear (2.2 and 1.9 bar) on the standard 14-inch wheels, with the tyres cold. Larger optional wheels use slightly different figures — see the table above.
Should I use a higher pressure when the car is loaded?
The manufacturer gives one figure for this car, so no. If you're carrying a full load for a long motorway run, the label on the door pillar may show a higher figure — follow that if it does.
What tyre size does the Astra 5 Stud 55-92 kW use?
185/65R14, 195/60R15 or 205/50R16, depending on the wheels it was ordered with. The size is on the tyre's sidewall, e.g. 235/40R18.
Check them cold. Pressures are set for tyres that haven't been driven more than a mile or two. After a run they read 3–4 psi high.
Once a month, and before a long trip. Tyres lose about 1 psi a month on their own.
The sticker wins. If your car's door-pillar or fuel-flap label says something different, go with that — it knows your exact spec.
